Most would think that finding your purpose has something to do with your job, your passion, or what you do in the world.
What if your purpose in life was only to remember who you are, your relationship with God and the rest falls in naturally?
You won't find happiness in anything in this world, because it is fleeting. A new car, new house, a goal achieved gives some temporary joy, but it's not permanent. The reason it's not permanent is because it isn't where happiness comes from. True peace and joy are experienced from within and only found once you connect with the loving side of you; your connection to God. (Love) It is the only permanent way to experienced peace.
Your purpose is to remove the barriers to the experience of love. It is achieved through the practice of forgiveness. Imagine if you could forgive everything that seems to happening around you. What if you knew that you were only love?
Getting started on a path to peace doesn't have to be difficult. Start by understanding that everything is about perception and based on your past experiences. If you truly want to change your circumstances, first start by paying attention to the stories you are telling yourself. I often have clients keep a journal to start the process of unwinding limiting beliefs. Ask yourself; is the story I am telling myself true or am I making it up? Then you can start the true forgiveness process.
The practice of A Course in Miracles is about the forgiveness process and the path back to love. It is about letting go of the stories your ego tells you and remembering who you are. It is a self study process so you go at your own pace. If you need help getting started, I offer free group meetings on Sundays and bootcamps to help with some of the concepts. Check here for more info and how to get started.
