A Course in Miracles - Allowing Rather Than Resisting
The teachings of A Course in Miracles emphasize the importance of allowing rather than resisting. The course proposes that trying, or "trying is trying," is a futile exercise that only serves to prolong our suffering. Instead, we are encouraged to cultivate an attitude of allowing - allowing ourselves to be the "big light" that we are, rather than hiding out of a misguided sense of humility or comparison to others.
Allowing oneself to fully accept and embody one's inherent greatness is a central tenet of A Course in Miracles. The course reminds us that we each have more to offer the world than we may realize, and that the greatest gift we can give is simply the light of our own being. By letting go of the need to resist or struggle, we open ourselves up to the transformative power of acceptance and surrender. This profound understanding challenges conventional notions of self-improvement and personal growth. Instead of striving to become something we are not, A Course in Miracles encourages us to recognize and embrace our innate divinity. It posits that our true nature is already perfect and complete, obscured only by our own limiting beliefs and perceptions.
By cultivating awareness of our essential wholeness, we naturally align with our higher purpose. This alignment manifests as increased clarity, compassion, and creativity in our daily lives. The course teaches that as we release our attachment to ego-driven desires and fears, we become more effective channels for love and healing for ourselves. Moreover, this philosophy extends beyond individual transformation to impact our relationships and communities. When we acknowledge the inherent greatness in ourselves, we naturally begin to perceive it in others, fostering a sense of unity and interconnectedness. This shift in perspective has the potential to create ripple effects of positive change throughout society.
Through practices of mindfulness, self-compassion, and a willingness to see the world (and ourselves) differently, A Course in Miracles guides students toward a profound realization: that in allowing rather than resisting, we unlock the doorway to inner peace, purpose, health, and the full expression of our divine potential.
This has to be one of the most difficult concepts to overcome and one that profoundly transforms our life experience from within the illusion. Thankyou for sharing. ❤️🙏
