What do you Value?

What do you Value?

In Lesson 133 of A Course in Miracles, the concept of valuing what is seemingly valueless is explored. The lesson teaches us about making choices without compromise, as it can bring either everything or nothing into our lives, depending on which part of the mind you are thinking with. Ego or Holy Spirit (love).

In the world of "A Course in Miracles," the whole idea of value and success really hits differently. It helps us to remember that constantly being busy is just a trick of the ego, and it nudges us to realize that genuine success comes from embracing the truth rather than just keeping track of how much stuff we have on our plate. It's all about recognizing that in this world, only love is truly real. So, when we put too much emphasis on material things, we might lose sight of this fundamental truth. By having faith in the journey and understanding that we are always looked after we are guided through life's ups and downs with a sense of ease and clarity.

The course teaches that emphasizes that valuing money or possessions itself is neither good nor bad; rather, it is the meaning and value we assign to it that shapes our relationship with wealth. Money holds no inherent significance beyond what we project onto it. The course teaches that true abundance comes from a state of inner peace and alignment with love, rather than the accumulation of material possessions.

By understanding that money is ultimately meaningless in the grand scheme of things, individuals can shift their focus towards cultivating values such as compassion, kindness, and forgiveness. This perspective encourages a deeper exploration of personal worth beyond financial measures.

By focusing on inner peace and self-awareness, we can break free from the cycle of depending on external sources for happiness. The course encourages us to find value in our own being and not in material possessions or validation from others.

Ultimately, it reminds us that true happiness comes from within and is not dependent on what we have or what others think of us.
