What Does A Course in Miracles Say About Love?

We often use the word love to describe feelings, relationships, and passions. We say we love our partner, our family, our pets, or a sunset. Yet A Course in Miracles (ACIM) invites us to look deeper — to recognize that Love is not many things, but one.

The Course teaches that Love is not of this world. It is the essence of our true nature — eternal, changeless, and beyond form.

The True Nature of Love

In A Course in Miracles, Love is not a fleeting emotion. It is the very essence of what we are — the creative energy of God that gives life to all.

Real Love cannot be lost, betrayed, or diminished. It is constant and complete, needing nothing to make it whole. When we see love as something that comes and goes, we are perceiving through the ego’s lens — not Spirit’s.

This kind of “love” changes with moods, situations, and expectations. It divides and separates. A Course in Miracles gently corrects this misperception:

True Love does not exclude anyone or anything. It embraces all because it recognizes the Oneness beneath appearances.

💞 There Is Only One Love

In the reality of Spirit, there are not many kinds of love — romantic, familial, or platonic — there is only One Love. This Love flows from a single Source and extends through all beings equally.

1. Pause and Remember: “Love created me like itself.”

2. Forgive Quickly: Grievances block the awareness of Love’s presence.

3. See the Christ in Others: Recognize the divine light beyond appearances.

4. Let Love Guide: Ask, “What would Love have me do right now?”

These small moments of remembering shift perception from fear to Love — and that shift is the miracle.

The Miracle of Love

In A Course in Miracles, a miracle is a shift from fear to Love. It does not change the external world; it changes how we see it. As our perception heals, we begin to recognize Love everywhere — even in what once seemed dark or divided.
